Our Story
Where It All Began
The name Aanari draws from the deep roots of Chinese, Indian, and Creole traditions — a seamless blend that mirrors the Mauritian melting pot. When the hotel first opened its doors in Flic en Flac, the vision was simple: create a place where travellers from around the world could experience genuine Mauritian warmth without pretence.
Situated in the heart of one of the island's most beloved coastal villages, Aanari Hotel & Spa was built to be part of the community, not apart from it. The Pasadena Village location places guests at the centre of local life — surrounded by shops, restaurants, and the rhythm of everyday Mauritius.

The Heart of Flic en Flac
Flic en Flac is home to one of the longest and most beautiful public beaches in Mauritius, with crystal-clear lagoons and sunsets that have drawn visitors for generations. Aanari sits just across the road from this stretch of coastline, offering guests front-row access to the island's most iconic views.
But it is not just the beach that makes this location special. The village itself pulses with energy — from the local market stalls to the diving centres, from the street food vendors to the quiet paths that wind through the sugarcane fields behind the coast.
Aanari Today
With fifty rooms across two wings, three restaurants serving distinct culinary traditions, and the tranquil Amrita Spa, Aanari has grown while staying true to its roots. We remain a boutique property — small enough to know every guest by name, large enough to offer a complete holiday experience.
Today, Aanari continues to welcome travellers seeking an authentic Mauritian experience — one where the culture, the cuisine, and the people are as much a part of the stay as the room itself.
