Our two master chefs, brought directly from Mainland China, are experts in traditional Cantonese techniques and flavours. From the meticulous preparation of our celebrated Peking Duck to refined specialties like Stuffed Taro, Japanese Tofu with Chinese Greens, Fresh Chili Crab, and Fresh Grilled Lobster with authentic Chinese seasoning, every dish honours centuries of culinary heritage.
With seating for 200 guests across an elegantly designed dining room, Mei Yan offers an immersive experience where the theatre of the open kitchen meets the warmth of Mauritian hospitality. As one of the few restaurants in Mauritius offering genuine Cantonese cuisine prepared by chefs from China using traditional recipes and techniques, Mei Yan attracts both hotel guests and discerning food lovers from across the island.
